Cradle to Career: Communicating Resilience and Sparking Advocacy
Cradle to Career came to Dream Catch with a clear goal to reach more Latino parents and build clear messaging and communications tools that would invite and cultivate parent advocacy. We decided to tackle a website migration and redesign, a logo refresh, a messaging guide, an overview video, two pieces of print collateral, and a content series that provided an overview of their organizational model.
Then COVID-19 hit.
Contractor projects could get sidelined or dropped altogether when a crisis hits — but not with Dream Catch. We stick by our clients and determine our next best move with you as a team. For Cradle to Career, we quickly shifted our scope to include crisis communications support that would support the C2C team in providing food distribution and gift cards to those families hit hardest in our community. You can see their amazing, parent-volunteer-led efforts in the video created. We also gave C2C the right planning tools and coaching so their organization could communicate professionally and quickly on the ground. Once C2C felt ready, we adjusted our project scope and returned to our projects.
We're proud of our collaboration with C2C. Together, we brainstormed the best ways to deliver crisis communications support that would make a real difference in our community. At the heart of it all, we want our messages to reach people where they are, offering hope, opportunities, and dignity and reminding them of their incredible potential. Whether through the C2C website, their COVID-19 response video, or even a simple flyer in the community, C2C is there to connect with and empower our diverse community.
